Our Solution
SaxMS RAIL is a software solution for rail transport and offers a comprehensive system for the holistic management, planning and control of complex railway processes. It supports decision-making processes across all phases of planning and enables long-term, medium-term and operational resource planning.
Orders, invoices, plans, rotations, tours, employees, locomotives and train paths are mapped holistically. All important data and documents can be conveniently managed.
Machine/Device Scheduling
Conveniently manage and dispatch machines and equipment. With machine teams, main drivers or attachments, e.g. for road-rail excavators. Conveniently schedule self-propelled machines such as MTWs or large non-self-propelled track-laying machines. Feedback on actual work performance.
Data Management
Management of all master data for employees, machines, equipment and attachments. Qualification management of all resources with expiry dates and automated notifications.
Personnel Disposition
Staff can also be organised as teams or working groups. Comprehensive qualification management, e.g. for work qualifications, series knowledge, route knowledge, company medical fitness or others. Holidays and any absences. Feedback on work performance as actual in relation to scheduling.
Order Management
Management of orders in an order database with extensive functions. Automatic import of order slips, e.g. from DB Netz. Quick and convenient creation of orders in the planning boards. Customer platform for customers/site managers to place and negotiate orders with site managers/dispatchers.
Logistics Planning (Locomotives and Wagons)
Planning the logistics for locomotives, lorries and wagons. Interaction between machines and wagons to be transferred with locomotive logistics. Extensive planning boards with map function. Locomotive combinations, track capability and other requirements for journeys. Feedback on actual work performance.
Integrated Mail Client
The integrated e-mail inbox enables dispatchers to communicate directly from the programme via e-mail. For example, orders can be received and transferred directly into the system, employees can be provided with duty rosters or external logistics service providers can be commissioned.
Car / Fleet Management
Scheduling of the vehicle fleet for workers and teams of workers. Number of seats, regular drivers and numerous planning details.
Document Management
Manage all documents conveniently. Creation of construction files with a predefined directory structure. Storage of e.g. qualification documents with the respective resources. Mobile app for viewing documents in use. Comprehensive authorisation concept. Interfaces to existing DMS possible.
ECM / Maintenance / Fleet Management
Simple labelling of planned maintenance intervals/deadlines/revisions through to full fleet management is possible. Machines and spare parts can also be comprehensively managed. The planning of entire workshops with track assignments and employee management is also fully possible.
Automatic planning through AI
Suggestions for the best possible scheduling of employees and machines for orders. Automated suggestions in the event of breakdowns with maximum inventory planning. Locomotive rotation planning to avoid as many empty runs as possible.
Everything at a glance, even on the move
The mobile extension enables staff to manage duty rosters and matters relating to duty rosters via smartphone or tablet. For example, employees can view duty rosters, submit holidays or report illnesses via their smartphone.
Our application is developed independently of the operating system and runs on iOS and Android devices.
Digital Duty Rota
With the digital duty roster, your employees receive the duty roster directly on their mobile phones. All information about the shifts can be called up directly. Employees are notified directly of any changes. Sickness and holidays can be submitted/applied for directly via the app.
Digital Working Time Recording
Employees can record their working times directly on their smartphone/tablet. If desired, employees in a team can also record times for their colleagues. Flexible break arrangements and absence feedback are possible.
Building Day Report
Work performed can be completed in the app. Customers, site managers or other roles can approve them directly with a digital signature. In combination with our scheduling solution, all information in the report can be pre-generated from the system to minimise the effort required to complete it.
Document Management
With our mobile DMS, documents can be read and confirmed on the move. Night mode, search functions, markers and numerous other railway construction-related functions are possible. TFs are supplied with their daily las directly via the app.
Machine Utilisation Plan
View the planning of all your machines. The current locations of the machines, the current TF or planned maintenance can also be viewed via the app.
Wagon Feedback
Simple recording of wagon sequences and associated brake calculations. Data is transferred directly to DB Netz via interfaces.
Vehicle Logbook
The digital vehicle logbook can be used to record all relevant reports on the use of locomotives and wagons. Damage reports can also be submitted via the app and, if desired, forwarded directly to colleagues in the ECM. Filling levels such as oil, diesel or others are also logged and forwarded to the dispatchers when the level is low.

Column / Troop Planning
Plan extensive columns in addition to individual employees. The squad leader can report back for his colleagues and everyone knows who is in the squad and when. Perfectly staff single, double and roudu shifts with a comprehensive qualification concept. The associated cars, hotel bookings, sick notes or holidays are also taken into account.
Overhead Line Construction
Overhead line construction has a number of special features, one of which is certainly the self-propelled machines used for dispatching orders. We have extensive experience in overhead line construction, plan your lifting platforms, MTWs, OMFs … perfectly with a specially designed tool.
Logistics
Logistics plays a special role in railway construction. Schedule lorries and locomotives for non-self-propelled machines and wagons. Work with operating centres according to Ril 100, overpasses, training runs or track occupancy planning. Schedule your TFs, wagon masters and shunting attendants. Wagon planning on the construction site, from loading to stabling, can also be completely pre-planned.
Civil Engineering / Grid Construction
While railway construction is very detailed, it is often sufficient to plan more roughly for civil engineering and network construction. Planning is often not based on precise time slices, but rather on a daily basis. We can also perfectly map your rough planning and, if required, transfer it step by step to a more detailed hourly basis.
ECM
From fleet management to the complete planning of your own workshops, you can handle all tasks with our software. ECM1, 2, 3 and 4 from a single source. Plan your next deadlines, damage reports, execution of work tasks, documentation and asset management. In addition, the scheduled work on the machines is synchronised directly between scheduling and workshops.
