How does it feel to be a new member of our company? In the fourth part of our interview series we want to introduce our new employee Kevin Ivo Kassin and talk about how he founds his way to SaxMS.

Job title : Backend Developer
Skills: Solution oriented implementation of requirements, especially in software developing
After his computer science studies at the “Technische Universität Dresden” Kevin worked as a scientific assistant and software developer. He found SaxMS through our LinkedIn page. There he found out about the products, the company values and the team, which ended up to be the reason he applied as a software developer in the backend field. Since february 2021 he is a full member of our backend team.
What are your tasks at the company?
I am developing software which is used for the disposition of different business components (for example SaxMS RAIL). I deal with various areas of disposition software and its custom extensions. I also take part in conversations with our customers.
What do you like most about your work at Saxony Media Solutions?
I am very happy with my working field and the opportunity to create my own tasks. Every employee can find their own way of solving a problem and therefore work independently.
How was your start at the company ?
In the beginning it was not so easy to understand the complexity of the extensive software. But because of a good introduction and the support of the team I understood all the relevant functions and applications. I really like my tasks and because of how close we work together I feel very welcome as a new employee.
What do you do in your free time? Do you have hobbies?
In my free time I like to ride my bike and my longboard. I also volunteer in cultural projects.
